Dr. Shalini Varma, MD

Dr Varma is a wonderful, compassionate, educational physician whom I depend on for my mental well being. She has literally saved my life. I want a psychiatrist who helps me cope with and overcome my issues and Dr. Varma excels at this. Her staff is fantastic, and easily reachable, and I have total and complete trust in her. All I know is that if it wasn't for this wonderful woman I would not be here right now. Dr. Varma is as good as they come. An A rating from me.

I was so happy to find Dr Varma. She called back right away, it was easy to schedule an appointment, always returns my calls promptly. She is easy to talk to, definitely knows whats she is doing, is conservative with medications but got me on the meds that definitely helped me. And she doesn't only prescribe meds like many others, but helped me sort through my stressful life situations and gave me guidance with my child's issues. I don't feel rushed in the visits.

Dr Varma got us in the next day. She really helped my daughter's depression, ADHD, and anxiety and worked with the school to get her assistance there as well. She got information from her other physicians and therapist. I really like that Dr Varma has evening hours so we don't miss volleyball, dance, or school. She is easy to reach outside of appointment times by email and phone. I am glad we made this decision to see her. My child is more back to her normal self, but she is still a teenager!

Dr Varma's a great listener, and gives insightful, easy to understand advice. She helped my daughter and I quickly, in a very compassionate way. We highly recommend her practice.

I've been seeing Dr. Varma for a few months now and really can't ask for any better. Love the evening hours so I can go straight after work (and she's seen me pretty late a couple of times which was very convenient) and not have to wait more than a couple of minutes to be seen. I don't feel rushed, she is down to earth and easy to talk to, doesn't push meds on me if I want to stay on less medication, explains things in a simple way, says it like it is and makes sure I stay on a healthy path. It is easy to contact her by email and her office. I really can't ask for more and would recommend her highly.

Dr. Varma provided my family with excellent support and expert care for my daughter. It was a difficult time for our family, and we are starting to pull out of it because of her. We are seeing improvements in our daughter after every visit. She now finds a greater desire to do things and her mood is improved. I would definitely recommend Dr. Varma to anyone who is struggling.
