Dr. Shamsuddin Khwaja, MD

The staff answer the phone 5% of the time but never return calls. If you comment on the lack of answering or response, the front desk person rudely tells you it is because they are short staffed. They have been short staffed for over 6 years. If you have a question, you need to speak to someone or make an appointment, you must go to the office and speak to the front desk clerk who just doesn’t have time to be bothered. They will only communicate via telephone, fax or face to face. Then they say they never received your message or fax. You cannot email anything to them. They say they have a patient’s portal but they have never given us any access to portal through Dr Kwaja. The front desk clerk has been rude, snotty and condescending multiple times over the years with me and my family. Dr. Kwaja is pleasant. Would recommend if staff attitude improves.

The staff is extremely rude, the Dr is very knowledgeable, but it just seems that all they care above is your co-pay. I Had a 10 am app I arrived at 9:40, and I was told he was running behind, at 10:15 he was still with his 9 am app. Very unprofessional it's almost 11 and I haven't been seen. I will not be returning to this facility.

doctor clearly doesn't believe in using machines for diagnostics just like to keep pounding pills in your system even when you tell them they're not working

Dr Khwaja is by far an excellent neurologist. Sometimes it hasn't taken long to get seen other times a little bit but so worth it. He's always been friendly and all the staff. He does his absolute best to make sure you're taken care of. when he's out of the country and I needed him his nurses would get ahold of him and he got back to them pretty quick !

Dr. Kwaja is excellent. He correctly diagnosed my husband, who had previously been diagnosed with three TIA's, with systemic migraines. He put my husband on propranolol and that has solved the problem. I also sae him for double vision. He was able to figure out why that was happening.
