Being in the mental health field, it was difficult to find someone I didn't know & whom I could trust to address years of trauma. It was difficult to find a space where I could feel safe & validated, without fearing judgement, or negative impacts on my social & professional career. I found Shana through intensive research, and reached out to her at a time when I was desperate & in crisis but unable to identify why at that very moment. 6 years later, I am a strong survivor of domestic violence, and sexual assault, and no longer the victim of my past.
