Dr Blackmon saved my life. She is extremely intelligent and a talented surgeon. I had a rare tumor that required a difficult excision because another doctor botched a biopsy and spread cancer all over my chest. Only a few surgeons could have performed this surgery and she was was the one I chose. She did a fantastic job and I am still alive. If you want to live then have her do your surgery. She is personable and kind and at the same time pulls no punches.

Dr. Blackmon understands the "art" of healing. Technically skilled and she has the gift to make her patients feel safe. If you need a doctor to fight for you. Shanda Blackmon is the one for the job.

Dr. Blackmon took great time and care in explaining my mother's cancer to us. She answered all of our questions and then some. She never talked over our heads or down to us. Her approach and team seem to offer the best care possible. She is passionate about what she does and her enthusiasm is infectious. I look forward to working with her and watching my mother heal. Dr.Blackmon is the perfect Dr.She is compassionate, direct, brilliant and you feel VERY safe in her hands.Her staff is wonderful.Methodist Hospital is VERY lucky to have her on staff.

Dr. Blackmon is PERFECT!Excellent is not a good enough rating for her.She does not have a "god" complex, she and her whole staff are awesome and comforting.She absolutely loves what she does and it shows. She will answer every question and give you phone numbers to call if you are scared at home and have more questions. She is a people person and what is an added plus , She is a woman surgeon! She and Andrea (her P.A.) can get you through some hard times. I wish I could adopt them all!These wonderful people will be a part of my heart till I die.
