Dr. Weston Hickey

I was referred to obtain a routine clearance before somewhat minor surgery. A full battery of tests and thousands of dollars later, clearance was given. The inescapable conclusion is this was not about my health but about their ability to bill insurance companies. Beyond that, the office overbooks the tests and you can waste two or more hours sitting in the waiting room to conduct a test that should not require more than one hour of your time. And people wonder what is wrong with American health care.

You can't go wrong using Dr. Hickey as your cardiologist. He has the rare gift of not only being a SUPER DOC, but he has a tremendous bedside manner. I left my appointment feeling that he is my friend.

Excellent. Takes time to explain things at a level I can understand. I had a heart cath with him and it was over before I even knew it started. He used my wrist instead of groin, which was very nice as well.

Dr. Hickey is both kind and smart. His people skills are excellent, considering so many Doctor's lack in that area. He takes time with patients ( this patient) and sincerely seems concerned as well as responsive. His clerical staff needs management and lessons in customer service. To be fair, I have seen an improvement. The final remark- he cares and he knows his medicine.

I am 67 years old without symptoms but some family history, high bp and cholesterol managed with medication. I was looking for a cardiologist to establish a base line and to get a closer look for anything that might be of concern. He was very attentive and recommended tests that would provide a lot more detail for him to evaluate my condition and life style.
