Dr. Shane Orndorff Summers, MD

Dr. Summers has been my doctor for 12 years and I have had excellent care from him and his staff. I appreciate his knowledge, his thorough answers to questions, and his pleasant yet efficient manner. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a family care physician.

Been seeing Summers for quite some time. Struggling with Crohn's disease, anxiety, insomnia and a long list of other issues stemming from this disease. Visited Doctor for follow up on perscription and he straight up cut me off! No empathy, no bed side courtesy-- straight up cut off my script!

Dr Summers is very thorough in his care & diagnoses, but has no compassion nor patience for client questions and input. It's his way or the highway. No questions asked, no varying into alternative methods, no preventive practices, refills the same prescriptions forever...

I have been a patient of doctor Summers for about 3 years now. I have never had my blood drawn and levels checked which is important to me. He has had me on a certain medicated for the 3 years I have been with him plus I was on it with my previous doctor for 3 years making that 6 total. I have never missed an appointment & have always complied with him. I go to call in a refill on a medication that is required to pick up the prescription in person. I call and leave a message for the refill and get a call back that Dr.Summers is no longer going to fill this medication for you. No valid reason to be given. In fact no reason at all. Might I just add that taking a person off this medication without warning and "cold turkey" can lead to seizures, major sickness, heart attack, etc. It's real obvious that this man cares nothing about his patients. Not to mention, he never smiles, never seems genuinely concerned about anything you tell him. It's just the same monotone voice and somber face… with no personality. I suggest that if you are thinking about joining his practice, you should think again!!

This doctor is special. He does treat you with respect irrigarduless of insurance. He takes his time in diagnoissing your illness. He is a very intelligent doctor who can be trusted with your life. I wish him well in his practice and hope he gets honored for his step above.

Dr. Summers has been my physician for 15 years. He has always been concerned for my health and is extremely confident in his practice. I would recommend him to my family and anyone who is looking for a caring and compassionate Doctor.
