Dr. Shannon Jeanine Beres, MD

Dr. Shannon Beres is a neurologist and ophthalmologist who earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. With 17 years of experience in medicine, she brings extensive expertise to treating conditions that affect both the nervous system and the eyes. Dr. Beres speaks English and provides care that bridges the important connection between neurological and vision health.

She practices at multiple locations throughout California, including Stanford Hospital and University of California San Francisco Medical Center in San Francisco, as well as several Stanford Health Care facilities in Palo Alto. Dr. Beres specializes in treating optic neuritis, increased pressure in the brain, and eye muscle coordination problems.
