Dr. Shannon Connor Phillips, MD

Shannon Phillips, MD, MPH, is a General Pediatrician and Pediatric Hospitalist who has always been based in an academic setting. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic, she had appointments in pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine (James Whitcomb Riley Children's Hospital) and University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia). Dr. Phillips practiced the first nine years of her career as a general pediatrician in both inpatient and outpatient settings, but since that time focuses her clinical practice on inpatient medicine. Particular clinical interests include the inpatient care of medically complex children and family-centered approach to patient care. She developed the first pediatric hospitalist program at Methodist Hospital/Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis and subsequently joined Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital in 2004 to develop and lead a pediatric hospitalist medicine program.
