Shari Nethersole, MD

Dr. Shari Nethersole, MD, MPH, is Vice President for Community Health and Engagement at Boston Children’s Hospital and a professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. A board-certified pediatrician and nationally recognized leader in child health equity, she specializes in community pediatrics, public health, immigrant and refugee health, and addressing social determinants of health that impact children and families. Dr. Nethersole earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Throughout her career, she has led numerous initiatives focused on improving healthcare access, advancing health equity, and strengthening partnerships between hospitals, schools, and communities. She is widely recognized for her advocacy, leadership, and commitment to improving outcomes for underserved children and families through culturally responsive, community-centered care.
