She has poor patient care and is not considerate

Amazing. Thorough with her examinations and very professional. She is the best doctor in Maryland.

If you are just looking for a pleasant person to check off boxes, Dr. Matippa is fine. However, if you have any concern, Dr. Matippa will simply refer you to a specialist. She had a look of disgust during 2 exams and was dismissive of questions about bodily functions. It's hard enough for a patient to ask questions of such a personal nature. A doctor shouldn't be embarrassed, avoid sensitive issues, and not provide the information a patient needs...and that's Dr. Matippa. She just isn't thorough and persistent as a medical professional. Again, she's a nice woman, but not what you would hope for in your doctor. ( Follow-up: one of those specialists discovered a condition unrelated to his specialty that should have been diagnosed by Dr. Matippa.)

Follow up with the ER without asking and call me to check on me.

Dr. Matippa is a good listener - one of the most important characteristics of a good doctor. I have been very pleased with her service, as well as the specialists she has referred.

I just switched to Dr. Matippa from my previous doctor of 3 years. Being a male, I was hesitant to switch to a female doctor just because of ease of discussing health issues. I was very pleasantly surprised with the professionalism Dr. Matippa has shown and her bedside manners are great. Also, ease of appointment and follow up was something I was never used to and it is again a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend her. Even my wife and one of her friends have switched to Dr. Matippa.

She is a great doctor with professional ethics and mannerisms.
