Dr. Sharon Krug Kohnen, MD

when you go to a psychiatrist you are in a vulnerable state. This Dr. is the worst possible person to talk to at this point, or any other. She is judgmental and condescending. She didn't listen to me at all and made assumptions about my character. Really terrible... I would not advise anyone to see her ever! She should not be able to practice medicine.

We moved out of the Greater Pittsburgh Area two years ago and I have yet to find a doctor that come close. Thank you Dr Kohnen I miss you.

I've been seeing her for about a year. She is considerate and very perceptive.she had helped me a lot. I got my meds finally, straightened out.psychiatrist scare me to death but she doesn't. Some days the appointment takes a long time, and sometimes just a few. She doesn't waste my time. She doesn't push me. I think she really listens, she knows her stuff, it's hard to find one that doesn't just shove pills at you

Dr. Kohnen patiently explores your problem and factors that might be contributing. She is very knowledgeable and can relate to symptoms and severity. Her knowledge of the effects of medication on symptoms as well as side effects is very perceptive and accurate. She is completely non-judgemental and is sympathetic to legitimate needs for medication

I've been seeing this doctor for about two years because there aren't many others around my home. She is never on time with my appointments, and when she does meet with me she rushes. When she asks me questions and I answer she becomes standoffish and argumentative with my answers. It is as if she doesn't believe the things I tell her that I am feeling. How can she discredit what I am feeling when she is not in my shoes? She is very conservative with her treatments so if you are looking for genuine help, look elsewhere as I now am.
