I saw Dr Sutherland for a same day surgery and she took great care of me. She helped me understand my condition and different options to manage it. I was nervous and she tried her best to make me feel comfortable and informed.

I saw Dr. Sutherland recently due to not having a menstrual cycle for about nine months. Dr. Sutherland recommended taking a birth control to induce a period, rather than trying to figure out WHY I lost my cycle. She spent maybe ten minutes with me in the room. It turns out that I have a tumor in my pituitary gland that is causing me to lose my cycle. I would not recommend this doctor due to her lack of investigation, and attempt to apply a cookie-cutter solution.

She is kind and gentle, and I always enjoy seeing her for my checkups.

During my first c-section, Dr. Sutherland notice my anxiety at the onset of the spinal procedure. She calmly held my hands and explained exactly what to expect - she stayed with me until the procedure was completed. This experience always stood out in my mind. Dr. Sutherland could have easily sent an assistant or nurse in to do this - it was a nice gesture and much appreciated.
