Dr. Shaun Kuriakose Mathen, DO

Dr. Mathen is the best doctor I've EVER had (& I've had a LOT! ) He is professional, concerned about you being healthy (not just covering up symptoms) & knowledgable. He really listens, unlike a lot of doctors. I would recommend him to anyone looking for whole health integration. He's amazing!

Dr. Mathen is very caring and concerned, and it shows with each visit. Im always impressed how he really takes the time to explain things, and in a way that is understandable to you. Also very knowledgeable. I appreciate his knowledge and advice on more natural approach to certain things. It's rare to find a Dr. with these qualities.

He is an outstanding doctor

Dr. Mathen is OK but I don't care for his demeanor and how he talks to me as if I know nothing, he downplays everything and I feel as if my issues are not being taken seriously! He's a "nice" person sure. But I want a doctor who will listen and take my concerns seriously.

Dr .Shaun Mathen is incredible. He spends time with his patient and explains everything in a way that you understand as he is very kind and caring person. He does his job well and his knowledge is incredible too. I had never had a doctor experience so great that doctor spends time with their patient and treats them as human instead of just get over with this and move on. He is excellent and I would recommend him right away :)

To make it short, I'm very glad that I found Dr. Mathen after going though so many other crooks who want your money not your health. He truly cares and spends a lot of time with you to listen and explain in simple English. You don't have to believe my opinion about him, but it's "truth".

I would recommend to any who is searching for a good doctor. The time he spends with you, answers to your questions in simple terms to make sure you understand and the courtesy, truly as you leave the office you're mentally a new person.

Switched to a local doctor to save time. I had continued visits several times a week all lasting two hours because, sorry no time savings with this office. You need to schedule less patients if you are this behind in your day! Billed me every time I came in for a Chiropractic adjustment for an office visit (dr charge) as well as all of the Chiropractic standard charges (oh the joys of being able to charge both! Refused to give us our sons physical form because we delay vaccinations. Sorry Dr. Mathen and Staff but we do have rights in the State of IL. Refused to accept my current diagnosis of migraines sent me round and round with another specialist costing me tons of money only to find out nothing else is wrong. Then his answer was my migraine medications were going to make me a drug addict....I get it you are into natural medications but some of us suffer with medical problems that require medications. This guy is a joke.

Get past the fact that he pushes holistic medicinal remedies on you, But I have been going rounds with him for sometime now with my daughter and a diagnosis. He kept passing the buck to others, when I finally stood my ground and had enough and told him to be the Dr he is supposed to be and do his part. I got him all the evidence that his secretaries failed to share with him and he still tried to pass off to someone else. Then what is the sense of having a doctor in the first place. Needless to say after I stood my ground he is listening, presented the facts he sees it crystal clear. I have dealt with the medical profession for my son, and know my rights and what to expect.
