Dr. Shawn Adam Achtman, DO

I don't know who wrote these negative reviews all on the same date, but I'm suspicious that they are 100% fake, or written by some bitter patient who didn't understand their own insurance policy. My husband and I have come to see Dr. Achtman, after many high recommendations in the community. He is brilliant, caring, patient and passionate about what he does. We had an issue with our insurance that the office brought to our attention. We got it resolved, thanks to them. After several attempts to go the conservative route with PT, injections and different medicines prescribed by Dr. Achtman, he helped coordinate surgical care on the spot, once we determined that surgery would be needed. He works so hard to communicate and be helpful. You won't find a better, more empathetic, and down-to-earth physiatrist. Jennifer

Dr wasted our time saying he could help and many months later offered nothing. He lacked a lot of basic medical knowledge & knowledge about my condition. Go elsewhere.

Was very disappointed in the staff. I didn't even see Dr. Achtman because the staff had called me two days prior to my appointment telling me I have a 20% deductible that I would have to pay at my visit. I knew I already met deductible since I had two major surgeries this year. I asked the Receptionist to call my insurance company to verify this and not look at Web-Denis. She said she would, she calls back and says I have to pay it. Not true, I called and of course it's covered and I met my deductible. Obviously, she never called.
