Dr. Shawn Storm, DO

Dr. Storm did a great job in surgery. My daughters leg has healed. She had a terrible break which required pins and screws. The follow up care is terrible. In the hospital they kept her comfortable but sent us home with a very low dose of pain medication. My daughter was in terrible pain and screaming for three days. I called his office many times and he would not prescribe a normal amount of pain medication. The staff is rude and irritated most of the time. Dr. Storm doesn't like to do follow up appts either. This is too bad because he is a good surgeon.

I saw Dr Storm the original day I broke my leg. I do not remember him at all from that day. The next day his PA is the one who checked on me in the hospital. All my follow up appointments were scheduled with Dr Storm but I always saw the PA. I was ok with that because the PA is friendly, courteous and listened to what I had to say. My last appointment I finally saw Dr. Storm. He spent maybe 1 minute with me, but I'm pretty sure it was closer to 30 seconds. I told him I was still having a significant amount of pain and its on the opposite side from where my break was, and I have 2 red spots that showed up on my skin on the opposite side. All he said was to take 500mg of naproxen and put steroid cream on the red spots. Then he said he didn't know what the red spots where but as far as the bones I was fine and could do whatever I wanted.

My daughter just seen dr Storm last week . I thought he was awesome and had fabulous people skills so good with kids . He made my daughter feel very comfortable. AWESOME staff too.

Dr. Storm has seen my mother n law... secretly broke ankle with subsequent surgery. Then my one daughter broke her wrist..He treated her well. My youngest daughter fx. her ankle and we again went to Dr. Storm. He understood that she is an athlete and made sure she had the therapy needed for a speedy recovery. she has now fx her shoulder and we are scheduled to see Storm tomorrow for this. I have faith that he will take care of her and get her back on the field quickly. He seems a little quiet when you first see him but loosens up quickly. Appointments are scheduled quickly and I have never been in the waiting room more than 15 minutes. We won't see any other Dr.

I feel that Dr. Storm does not care for his patients. I broke my leg and was taken to the emergency room where Dr. Storm was the on-call doctor that evening. He refused to come to the ER. After the ER doctor called him a second time because I was pleading to get my leg set since I am elderly and live alone, he still refused to come in. He forced me to make an outpatient appointment and my surgery was then scheduled for one week after my leg was broken. My tibia and fibula were both broken and had to be plated - not a minor break. I had terrible pain while I waited a week to have surgery. I have since had two office follow up visits - he was present at one of them. He did not show for the 2nd office visit. It appears to me that he believes that orthopedic surgery is trivial and he does not want to do it. I would not recommend him to anyone because he apparently does not have time to be a doctor.
