I went through 3 obstetricians before I got Dr. Matthews. She is patient, caring, and knowledgeable. I felt totally secure having her deliver my first son.

Dr. Matthews lets you know she doesn't know a lot. I walked away from each appointment with no conclusion in what was wrong with me or how it could be fixed. Dr. Matthews literally said I didn't need a pap smear although I came in for one and opted to give me an STD check only, of which she said was free. I was charged $103. Total for one visit to have no pap smear done and no questions definitively answered about a miscarriage, UTI's, bladder pain and a cyst/fibroid was $353. This visit originated from her not being able to read an ultrasound while I was having my miscarriage. She was not able to fully let me know the miscarriage was complete and I had to have an ultrasound done in a separate office. Had she been able to conclusively let me know there was nothing left from the miscarriage in the first place I would not have needed this extremely expensive appointment.
