Dr. Pullen-James was voted Cincinnati Top Doctor in 2020. She is a recipient of the Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Inc. Fortitude Award and has had work published in the Journal of the National Medical Association. She completed her medical training at the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. Her current clinical focus includes all aspects of sleep medicine: OSA, Insomnia, Narcolepsy, REM Behavior Disorder, Idiopathic hypersomnia, Restless Legs, PLMD, and Parasomnia.Dr. Pullen-James was inspired to become a physician because she wanted to change the narrative. Her desire is that ALL people feel comfortable seeking medical help. Her patients will leave an appointment with her having a complete understanding of their condition and what the plan is for their care. Pullen would rather do surgery first and foremost. She couldn't talk about anything else other than putting me under. Showed up for an appointment when scheduled according to MyChart, showed up as she was walking out the door to leave for the day. Can't make up own diagnosis...I had to lead the way. Maybe another 10 years experience will do her well.

I have two teenage daughters who really love Dr. Pullen. She is very thorough, speaks directly to them on their level, and always has a fun sense of humor. She is a great role model for my two girls.
