Dr. Sheeja Mathai

I have seen Dr Mathai several times and with my children. She is such a compassionate person. She answered my questions and explained everything I needed to know. She gets back to me on labs and tests in a timely manner. She has seen my children and doesn't just order antibiotics every time we are sick. She helps me make decisions and doesn't speak down to me which I really appreciate.

It seems like many providers are rushed and don't even let us finish our questions. She made sure I understood what was happening. I have seen her several times. She has seen my children and is so gentle and respectful. Overall seems like she knows the latest information and is such a nice person.

Dr Mathai was actually running late but I was asked if I wanted to reschedule which is what I think all offices should do. I waited because I really needed to be seen. I didn't have to wait in the exam room for more than a couple of minutes. It looked like she already read my chart because she already knew about my history and family history which saved a lot of time. She is very thorough and answered all of my questions. I felt like we had a plan and she called me herself to let me know what was going on with my lab results. She gave me all the options and what she recommended instead of forcing me to do things. I can't say enough good things about her even though I think she is really young.

Actually I met this Dr because she takes care of my parents in a nursing home. She does a great job explaining as well as updating me.
