Dr. Sheela Choubey, MD

Time and time again I come and get mistreated by her staff. The one lady at the desk (I didn’t get her name) is incredibly blunt and rude and makes no effort to work with you when scheduling appointments. I had to leave work two hours early to get here on time and end up waiting over an hour for my appointment with no explanation as to why. I had come for a check-up and wanted to get my IUD looked at. She didn’t think it would be necessary to tell me there is only one room with access to an ultrasound machine. So now I was waiting for over an hour while patients who came after me went in before me, with no understanding of why I was waiting so long. It was only till I approached her that she rudely explained why. FINALLY when it was time for me to go in she puts me in the room tells me to undress and does not even give me one of the robe things to cover myself. (Not to make assumptions but I feel this was absolutely on purpose.) I love Dr Choubey It’s disheartening her staff isn’t… reflective of her work

No correct knowledge abt patients other than pregnant ladies. I hv heavy period. She suggested for scanning & got the results as I have fibroids. Then she told me to put mirena iud. Yes she kept the iud in my uterus 2 months back. Can u imagine till date I am bleeding. Yes heavy bleeding for 2 months continuously. She is experimenting with me with every week with Oral contraceptive . My hemoglobin is going low & low. Still she is not giving me any injection or not trying to stop my bleeding. Today she is asking me can I remove ur mirena because it is not working for u because u hv fibroid. I was so much surprised that doctor knows much before that I hv fibroid, then why she put the mirena & for that I am heavy bleeding for last 2 months. She removed & guess again I am on pain & bleeding. Don’t know what to tell. How can I trust her.

This has got to be the Worst Doctor Ever. My mother had an infection. She was already a patient of Dr Choubey. The staff said she couldn't come in for 3 weeks. Not even for an infection that needed care. What kind of doctor is this? The office staff are rude obnoxious and very unprofessional. The girl said there was no way she can come in for an emergency at all. Is this a doctor? The office staff said she was going on vacation soon and was more concerned about that. That's why my mother cannot come in for 3 weeks

I have been a patient for many years, even left one time in search of an updates office environment. Ended up back to Dr. Choubey. She knows her stuff and has always guided me in the right direction when it comes to my health. Wouldn't trade her for the world! He office may not be the most modern but the care is superb!

It was wonderful having Dr. Choubey as my doctor during my pregnancy. I relocated from Morristown to the North Brunswick area and was looking for excellent care. I was able to find it with Dr. Choubey, her and her staff are just exceptional. I was able to call and ask questions and they were thoroughly answered. Dr.Choubey took lots of time to provide comfort and put us at ease with all of our questions and concerns. She took the time to call and share all the test results. She is a doctor that genuinely cares about the outcome and success of my health and the baby’s health. I was a high risk pregnancy, but everything went smoothly thanks to Dr.Choubey’s guidance.

Let’s start from the beginning. This was the same doctor that my mother used when she gave birth to me in the 90s. I trusted this doctor because my mother did. That was until I actually used her. Based on my mother the Somerset and Piscataway locations both take on average an hour + to actually see patients. Not only are my feelings dismissed when I used this facility but also my health at risk. After having a test done the doctor left gauze inside of me! It took 3 weeks for it to come out, and since I didn’t get sick my family’s attorney said we had no case. After that I made sure I stuck with Dr Cogliani in hopes I wouldn’t be again deal with a bad experience. Instead, after I suffered a PE from the birth control I was on he swore it’s ok if I got back on birth control because clearly the ER, hematologist, and variety of other doctors I’ve had tests with for MONTHS must be wrong. The last straw? I ended up in the ER from bleeding (a lot) I needed tests done, was told I’d be… called within a day. I wait 2 days and follow up. They say call back in an hour, I do...I get told the doctor will call you this evening, the results are on their desk I’m told. I wait and no call. I call again the next day, they say the Somerset location was closed and had no access to my files. WHAT? So nothing is digitally filed, and the fact I got my results from the radiologist before the doctor even told me, I offered to email it. They said they only accept faxes. It’s 2019, there’s no email??? They say they’ll call the radiologist and tell me the results that evening. No call. The final day I have to call AGAIN, and I finally get told my results. The doctor told me I need to plan an appointment for possible surgery ASAP. If it was that important you would’ve told me that TUESDAY instead of FRIDAY. At this point I’m searching for a different doctor who actually puts the health of their patients first that would have also came into the 21st century with technology in their office. Very disappointed from this experience.

Had an appointment at 11 and didn't get taken in until 12. Nurse was amazing and sweet. Dr. Choubey was rude and made the experience horrible. Told her it was my first ever time at the gyno and expected her to explain procedures and make me feel as comfortable as possible, but she made me feel dumb and didn't give me any information on what she was going to do. I voiced discomfort during the checkup and she did nothing to help, just told me it's not even that bad and to calm down. Shoved equipment into me without warning and got irritated when I voiced my discomfort. Asked me what prescription I wanted and was annoyed when I wasn't knowledgeable on exactly which pill I wanted to take. She then prescribed me something without asking any questions to make sure it was a right fit, and didn't tell me anything about it or give me any options. Overall, a very uncomfortable and impersonal experience. I left with many unanswered questions. Exact opposite of how a doctor, especially a gyno,… should treat their patients. I will not be returning to her ever again.

Doctor Choubey Was my Doctor for years about 35 years ago.Iwas suffering for so many years and horrible pain and no Doctor would help me told me nothing was wrong with me.I WAS SO SICK.She saved my life.SHE CAREDand took that God forsaken pain.I NEVER FORGOT WHAT SHE DID FOR ME.
