Dr. Sheetal K Chhaya, DO

Dr. Chhaya is a phenomenal rheumatologist. She is highly intelligent, experienced, incredibly confident but not arrogant, professional but relatable, compassionate, and kind. She has the best interest of her patients at heart. She is the most knowledgeable local rheumatologist I have seen in my nearly two decades of having rheumatological autoimmune diseases. Outside of my care at the National Institute of Health, I have never felt so much confidence in a rheumatologist. She is treating me for several diseases, the worst/most difficult one a rare, hard-to-treat disease that many physicians either want nothing to do with or know very little about but rely on old, inaccurate info when making treatment decisions. I couldn’t be happier with Dr. Chhaya and my care. And she gets stuff done! If she says she will take care of something, you can rest assured she will. She is a rare gem among rheumatologists.

DR. Sheetal Chhaya is the most wonderful doctor I have had. She not only listens, but she makes sure insurance is up to date with any prior authorization needed. She is quick to respond and the staff is great! I had to move and will miss her much! She has solved problems with my health no one else could do!

I understand that medicine isn't 100% accurate, but she appears to be playing a guessing game. She doesn't take the time to analyze your symptoms and ensure you feel confident with a diagnosis. Don't even think about asking a question, because your made to feel like you've inconvenienced her. Which I guess is why other people are sent in first?

It has been several years since having an appointment but the one thing that has always stayed with me is her willingness to listen and look outside the box to discover my sickness.
