My husband and I were in 2 separate car accidents over the weekend. We hired a lawyer and he sent us to a doctor he usually works with. The 1st visit was ok, he sent us home with anxiety medicine, Anti-inflamitory meds and some muscule relaxers and sent us to physical therapy. After 2 days of taking these medications my husband started getting bad diareah and was constipated and the muscle relaxers were making me fall asleep while I was cooking. I called the doctor on his cell phone to tell him I am in major pain and the medications were not working. So he called me in Tremedol, which has never worked for me. So today my husband and I went to his office to see if there was any different medicines he could give us that would work better. The first thing he said is "I don't prescribe narcotics", we never even asked for anything like that!!! Yet the day before he gave us Lorazapam, which IS a narcotic. He told my husband to stop taking the meds but didn't tell him what else he could take… to make him feel better, but instead got up and left the office. As we were leaving I said to him jokingly "I won't bother you anymore on your cell phone". All he said was OK and walked into his office without a single goodbye. He was very rude and abrupt. My husband and I are 28 years old and we weren't treated as normal patients, we were treated like we were junkies off the street tring to find narcoltics. I don't find it very fair that we are normal people that happened to be in a car accident and we have to deal with doctors that judge a book by their cover.
