Dr. Shelly Joan Ahmann, MD

Dr. Ahmann is an amazing doctor. She has gone above and beyond for me as a patient. Even in the difficult times that the pandemic has created she still does everything she can to make sure I understand what needs to happen next in my treatment and also that I am informed every step of the way. Thank you Dr. Ahmann

This doctor needs to go back to school to receive training on how to connect with her patients or at least take a class in compassion. She is very disrespectful and the least bit interested in how her patient is feeling and dealing with their cancer diagnosis. I'm not sure if she is aware of the things that come out of her mouth but as a doctor she should not be saying these things. I'm am not sure if she only makes these comments to certain patients that she feels will not respond to her or report her but she needs to stop. Her demeanor is very intimidating and she lacks a bedside manner of a doctor that is concerned with their patient. I am not their to be cuddled by her but neither am I their to be ridiculed either. She needs to do better. I could say so much more but I will stop here.

I felt very at ease with Dr. Ahmann. She was very patient and answered all the questions we had and then some. I am recommending her to someone else who needs a second opinion.

Most horrible experience of my life. A callous, inconsiderate, tunnel vision, cold, discriminating and condescending doctor with ZERO bedside manner and unwilling to take into consideration the special needs of a partially paralyzed, 100% wheelchair user patient during post-mastectomy recovery period. Did not take the time to go over the various options of mastectomy and reconstruction surgery, and explain post-surgery effects and side effects only indicating page numbers of a breast cancer book anyone can read. During an emotional time for any woman facing a mastectomy, this doctor showed a complete lack of empathy and understanding.

I regret having this doctor perform my lumpectomy and lymph node dissection - related to my breast cancer. She is Not an experienced/certified breast surgeon!!
