Dr. Shereene Ziad Idriss, MD

My experience with Dr. Sheereene Idriss was terrible and here is why. I wish I could walk around bragging about being one of her patients but there is no better way to put this than, “All hype and no talent.” After subscribing to her pillow talk derm and being an avid follower for a year I decided to take the plung and finally start doing cosmetic treatments. At the time I knew she was the Dr. for me as she is knowledgeable and gave amazing advise online. I loved tuning in and listening to her as I felt she really knew what she was talking about. I can’t take away that she knows the back end of her work but she is moons from being an aesthetic cosmetic derm and delivering good results. During my consultation that I waited 5 months for the doctor walked in and started with apologizing for being late because, “ She had another annoying patient who wouldn’t leave her alone and stop complaining.” I should have taken that as a red flag but laughed off the ice breaker and proceeded instead.… This was my first time doing botox and lip filler. Everything would have been fine except she knocked out one brow with botox and the second one had range of motion. After returning for touch up, I expressed to her that I felt I looked funny and showed her why. The doctors bedside manner was atrocious. She asked me if I came back because “I want a job here,” and “Did I want to come back because I’m obsessed with seeing her.” Clearly not the greeting you anticipate especially since the nurse prior to doctor entering relays your concerns before entering. Knowing I came with a concern she should have been more empathetic. Absolutely rude to say the least and Dr. Idriss would not take responsibility for the lack of expertise. Instead offered to knock out the other side expressing “I can make it worse just don’t come back to complain.” This ultimately cornered me to refuse to have a retreat. This also reminded me of my initial consultation about her bad mouthing another patient. I contemplated to write my experience but after 5 weeks post my initial visit the botox has worn out almost to oblivion. My 11’s are back and I have almost all motion back in Glabella and forehead. I have full motion in crows feet. I paid $1500 for diluted botox when the doctor explained that being a first time botox patient it should last about 6 months. I did not expect 5-6 weeks! My lip filler experience done by Dr. Idriss was worse. I did not want anything major just minor plump as I already had a good shape I just wanted them slightly fuller. This was my first time ever doing lip filler. I expressed that I loved my Cupid’s bow and defined lip border and did not want to change that. The doctor used almost the entire syringe of volbella .5ML and injected it directly into the center area of my top lip causing me major discomfort in speaking and aesthetically I looked ridiculous. This also stretched out my Cupid’s bow and dissipated my crisp lip line which I asked to preserve. It was not evenly distributed and I looked like I had dental work vs. a beautiful lip augmentation which I expected from such a “professional.” I had the filler dissolved the following week because I could not continue to walk around speaking and looking this way. Having the product concentrated into the center of my top lip not only stretched out my Cupid’s bow but made it impossible and tight to speak. After dissolving initially I still had some product left and when asking the doctor to address these small bumps she refused a retreat to dissolve the remainder. Another mistake which cost $950. I would not recommend wasting your money. Find a doctor who actually cares and won’t shame you for their mistakes!

TLC, Brilliance, & Honesty/ The opposite of a derm factory!!!

The worst experience of my life! I drove nearly two hours for my appointment with Dr.Shereen Idriss only to be curtly turned away because she supposedly had to leave for another appointment. When I asked why I wasn't informed of this sudden change ahead of time as a courtesy, all I received was a blank stare and a canned response from her office manager. I was warned by a former client of hers who recommended that I find another more competent and less arrogant dermatologist and now I know why. I would suggest she focus less on her "Pillow Talk" series and more on basic etiquette and professionalism towards her patients.
