Dr. Sherie Lynne Carnegie, DO

I feel like she could be much more of a compassionate doctor. I don't really feel comfortable having a doctor give me a blank look in her eyes while I am talking about something I am experiencing and not having much to say afterwards. My mom also mentioned to me before I mentioned it that she also felt the same about Dr. Carnegie. I appreciate her work and respect her position. I hope she sees this feedback as something to work on. I stopped requesting to see her and strictly saw the nurse practitioner after a few experiences like this. Overall the three stars is a neutral rating from my mom and I.

I have been a patient of Dr. Carnegie’s for over 12 years. Before I met her, she was my parent’s doctor. My Mom and Dr. Carnegie shared a common hobby in reading and both exchanged books on Mom’s appointments. During my Dad’s mid 80’s he contracted Shingles (like Chickenpox) in his eye and it subsequently spread around his head and scalp. Dr. Carnegie’s expertise correctly diagnosed the condition after two eye doctors misdiagnosed it. My father suffered terribly with Shingles for several years. During his acute phase, Dr. Carnegie was always accessible and able to prescribe the most effective medicines to treat the terrible symptoms including severe nerve pain episodes. My father lived to be 87 and my Mom 93. Dr. Carnegie and her staff have always been professional, smiling and understanding. I have had several doctors in my lifetime but Dr. Carnegie has been the best. She is a great listener and I have been fortunate to have a doctor who understands me. I have multiple medical issues… and Dr. Carnegie and her office have done a fantastic job managing my healthcare. Integrity is the best word to describe Dr. Carnegie. I highly recommend her. It takes time to develop a relationship with a doctor. Part of that doctor- patient bond is communication. I am very fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Sherie’s. My health and happiness are evident of that.

When in need of pain medication she hesitates to prescribe and leaves her patient in major pain

Dr. Cernegie takes time and is very caring and is always helpful. She has been my Dr, for many years and I will NEVER have another PCP. She gets to the ROOT of the problem and finds a solution.

Dr Carnegie takes the time necessary for your visit, she listens to you and you never feel rushed. She cares. I've been a patent of Dr Carnegies for 30 or 40 years at least.

Dr. Carnegie was very thorough and even discovered a heart problem with me by taking an EKG. She observed that this test had not been done and was not on record. Early detection was great and was referred to a cardiologist. I think it is wise to see your main doctor, because being seeing by a PA, some things are missed.

I'm not fond of doctors as it is. It seems like more and more people nowadays don't know how to treat others. Whether you go to a store and deal with a dull and rude cashier who doesn't speak a word to you as they are ringing you up to the medical staff at a clinic who don't even make eye contact with you or even greet you as they take you in to see the doctor. People have forgotten what it's like to be pleasant. How a simple "hello" and a smile can make a difference. This is the case at Dr. Carnegie's clinic. I like Dr. Carnegie. She as an individual is a good doctor that makes you feel comfortable but some of her staff, not all, lack people skills. They are unmannerly , unprofessional and give the clinic a bad name. The ladies I have dealt with are indifferent, and incompetent.

If you would like a Doctor that will provide you that special attention and understanding your health issues and providing you the Best in Class Health care I would encourage you to make an appointment. Her staff is excellent and very accomodating to everyone and they are always very flexible in getting you an appointment. Dr. Carnegie is very knowledgeable, always treats you like you have known her for a long time and you will truly appreciate great medical care. Good luck and I know that you will have a great feeling when you leave her office.
