Dr. Sherif Onsy Mekhail, MD

Apparently he doesn't understand patient privacy rights because he took it upon himself to call another dentist to discuss my care. I gave neither of them permission to talk about me to anyone. He really stepped in it on this one. If he doesn't want to treat me, that's great, there's plenty more dentists out there. But why take it upon himself to make phone calls to another dentist to discuss my care? Really stupid move.

HORRIBLE experience!!! Ten mg of Valium, plus nitrous did NOTHING for my anxiety. I'm not even sure the nitrous was on-- could barely breathe through the mask-- but, of course I had to pay for it. My bp jumped to 150/90, and I had chest pain and palpitations. The nurse kept snapping at me, "Stop crying! Calm down!" Like THAT'S going to help! The doctor was uncommunicative and cold. I must be the only anxious patient they've ever had, because they didn't have a clue. You know, Doctor, someday YOU'RE going to be terrified, and desperate for reassurance... just pray you don't get someone like yourself, or your nurse.

This is my first review ever. I wanted to warn others for not wasting their time like I did. When I went there the staff was extremely caring and friendly. However, the Oral surgeon is NOT. He is uncaring and acts above everyone else, extremely rude. For instance, he asked me to describe the pain I'm in and he interrupted me and said "Don't use medical terms, use your own terms to describe it". Honestly, I have no clue what that meant, I was using my own terms!! It was obvious he didn't want to help me. The staff seemed nervous and scared when he was around. I wouldn't be surprised if he treats them like dirt too. The entire experience was a waste of time and he didn't help me any. I felt worse leaving. Avoid this dentist and go some where else, unless you want to feel like crap.
