Dr. Sherman Allan Sprik, MD

I was injured at work, resulting in an open fracture of my nose and sent to Dr. Sprik for an evaluation on resetting/surgically repair. I was first sent to the Kenmoor office, only to be told I was told the wrong office, and needed to go to the Byron Center office. While on the way to the Byron Center office, I received a phone call telling me I’m supposed to wait until Monday to come in. Today is Tuesday...and the fracture is open. I was then told to just go ahead and go, and they’d keep trying to reach them on the phone. The nurse was rude and tried rushing me thru, not even looking thru the file that was sent over (that they demanded before the referral could be made), which included the x-rays. When I was finally allowed to speak, I let her know that the x-rays were on a disc in my folder. She wasn’t sure she knew how to load a disc to bring up the x-rays. Umm....I should have left right then and there, but it had been a long day, I was already there, and it’s a workers comp… claim, so my hands are kind of tied. Dr Sprik came bouncing in the room, grabbed a piece of metal and started poking, prodding, and stretching on my nose WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT THE XRAYS. He then says to me, “Oh, it’s a little bit sore, huh?” I replied, “well it’s broke, which is why I’m here”....He then started talking down about the led center that sent me over, and the PA, saying they can’t say if it’s broke without an X-ray. Again, I let them know the X-rays were on the disc. Never again. I called the med center and told them what occurred. They found me a new referral. How the heck this place is in business is beyond me.

Dr. Sprik did on wonderful job removing a mass from my face! The incision is long but barely noticeable, and he took the time to remove more of the mass than was expected. I am grateful for his expertise.

I have seen Dr. Sprik several times in the past 2 years and the experience I have had with doctor and staff have always been caring, prompt and satisfying. Office communication is excellent and follow up thorough.

Did not relate well to our young child. Did little to place him at ease. I think the care we had was good, and we left with answers, but the baby was terrified.
