Dr. Sherri Jialiang Lee, MD

About five years ago, I happened to see an online comment from someone saying what a wonderful Kaiser doctor Dr. Lee was. At the time she wasn't accepting new patients, so we waited nearly a year for the opportunity to switch my husband to her. I wish I knew who wrote that original comment so I could thank them. They were absolutely right, and waiting for Dr. Lee was one of the best decisions we made during our 18 years with Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Lee is professional, caring, attentive and incredibly responsive. She listens carefully, takes concerns seriously and never makes you feel rushed or uncomfortable asking questions. She is also refreshingly honest, straightforward and to the point — qualities we greatly appreciate in a physician. What makes her particularly special, though, is how well she gets to know her patients as individuals. My husband isn't always the easiest patient. He has ADHD, isn't particularly patient and can be ready to head for the door when things aren't… moving quickly enough! Dr. Lee never made him feel difficult. She accepted him exactly as he is, learned how to work with him and earned his trust. She also earned mine. If something was going on with my husband's health, I knew I could message Dr. Lee and almost invariably have a thoughtful response waiting the next morning. When he needed to be seen, she found a way to fit him in. During stressful medical situations, she listened to both of us and made us feel that we had someone on our side. We are now leaving Kaiser because of an insurance change, and after 18 years with Kaiser, leaving Dr. Lee is by far the hardest part. I genuinely feel as though we are losing a trusted teammate as well as our doctor. The prospect of trying to find another physician who knows and cares for my husband the way she does is daunting. If you're fortunate enough to have the opportunity to choose Dr. Sherri Lee as your physician, take it. Five years later, I'm very grateful that I listened to that stranger on the internet who told me to do exactly that.

This is the first time I have an appointment visit with Dr. Lee she is very caring and listening.

Everyone should research the doctors who take care of their families carefully. Looking up my Mom's doctor at Kaiser Permanente showed an arbitration award of millions of dollars on the medical board website, for Dr. Sherri Jialiang Lee. Asking around i learned that it was a settlement for wrongful death for medical negligence, and hospitals like Kaiser pay to have their employee's info hidden, it is still accessible though. What really concerned us was that when we asked to change doctors, the front desk nurses i guess are told to make it hard, and either denied or tried to imply the was a different doctor with the same name, Dr. Sherri Lee. At least they should be honest about it, these are loved ones and if a doctor was negligent and patients died, people have a right to know. Even now i wonder if this review will get deleted by paying. We wish everyone well out there, God Bless and be careful!

I have outstanding medical issues, treating me with dignity and kindness and going in depth into my medial needs she is above all others, a trust this doctor has earned.

Dr. Lee is caring, takes appropriate time with her patients, listens well, and is able to help her patients feel comfortable -- even under stressful situations. Fueled by this desire to do the best for her patients, the medical care provided by Dr. Lee is absolutely first-rate. She is thorough, follows up, and possess a very high level of expertise in her field. I consider myself quite fortunate to be one of her patients.
