Dr. Sherri Diann G Martin, MD

It is hard to believe that I have already been with Shawnee Mission Pediatrics for 12 years! I guess the saying is true that time flies when you are having fun. As the mother of five sons, I can honestly say that being a pediatrician is the perfect job for me. I enjoy taking my personal experiences and translating them to the care for my patients. Each day is different and exciting as I am fortunate to guide parents in making healthy choices for their family. I was honored when one of my first patients said, Oh I get it; you are a mommy doctor. I am a parent that is uniquely trained in pediatrics. It is difficult to express in words, but it is true that I find it a privilege every day that I have the opportunity to be a part of my patients families. My undergraduate and medical training were both at the University of Kansas (1991, 1995). This is what brought me to the Kansas City area from Western Kansas. I received my pediatric training at the Childrens Mercy Hospital (1998) where I …continue to serve on the staff. I have been active in leadership roles at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center and currently serve on the advisory board for the Lee Ann Britain Infant Development Center. In the spare moments that I have, I am fortunate to spend this time with my family.
