Dr. Shervin Alborzian, MD

Doctor Alborzian is a splendid, extremely smart, hard working and amiable person. In his role as an Ophthalmologist he literally saved my left eye from going blind while I was unknowingly suffering from advanced Glaucoma. He used his own sophisticated tests,chemical treatments surgery and a referral to another professional with more advanced surgical training. My name is Stephen Sablack, I am 69 years old and anyone may contact me at 858-483 -1714. I would confidently refer any one to Dr. Alborzian. By the way, my experience with his staff is very positive. My suggestion to the someone who criticized Dr.Aborzian's staff on another review, is to treat them as they professional staff that they are. They are good at their jobs yet human and not infallible. Politely work with them if you have a concern and remember they are not your servants!

I made an appoinment with Dr. Alborzian about a month ago and two days prior to my appointment I called their office to make sure that the appointment and documents are all ok. They had my insurance information and they confirmed everything is ok. They also called me on their automatic telephone calls to confirm the appointment a day before. On the day of my appointment two hours before my appointment the office called me to tell me that they do not accept my insurance and I have to pay out of the pocket! I had to cancel and now wait another month for another Dr. to check my eyes as my case was quite urgent. My husband also was a patient and he was due for a surgery at their office by Dr. Alborzian. First they gave him a date for the surgery, then they messed up with their paper work and saying that the insurance is not acceptable anymore after his initial visit with the Dr.Alborzian. My husband was kept up in the air until last minute. He also cancelled the whole thing with them and… moving on to another Dr. I am afraid this is not a good sign for a professional to treat the patients this way. I don't think his office knows what they are doing, they are totally unprofessional and disrespectful.

Flew from Mexico to San Diego for cataract surgery with Dr, Alborzian. could not be happier with the doctor and the results. It is so nice to meet a doctor who truly seems to care about the patient and the cost, he is a true gem in his field. Highly recommended.
