We have been seeing Dr. Vanderhooft for years. She treats all of our children. She has always been patient and explains things well to us.

This is Dr. Vanderhooft submitting a rebuttal to the very negative review dated 2/25/15. It was submitted by the grandmother of a patient I had seen the day before. Grandmother was very forceful during the visit; as a retired nurse, she felt her expertise outweighed my best recommendations for her grandchild. The mother was given no voice during the appointment. I advocated for the patient rather than the grandmother's demands, and this frustrated the grandmother.

Very Abrupt. Kind of made me feel like I was a waste of her time. No skills with children. Little rude to resident. Not happy at all!

Dr. Vanderhooft is a great dermatologist who is wonderful with kids & tough skin problems. I would recommend her to anyone.

I've had a few visits with Dr. Vanderhooft as we tracked and eventually removed a suspicious mole from my 5 year old. She was always great with both me and my daughter. She answered any questions I had. I felt that we were in good hands. Dr. Vanderhooft came highly recommended by another wonderful doctor and I, in turn, highly recommend her.
