Dr. Shikha Bharaktiya, MD

Dr. Bharaktiya has helped me with my medication and weight loss. I've also lowered my A1C and feel alot better as well. Dr.Bharaktia's advice has helped me tremendously .

Dr. Bharaktiya is wonderful! Extremely knowledgeable, takes her time with you to go over the results of your tests, medication and makes sure you understand it all. She doesn’t overbook so you don’t wait to get in. She talks about her family and asks about yours. I’m so happy that she was recommended to me.

Dr. Bharaktiya is very thorough and accurate in her diagnosis. I highly recommend her. The entire staff is pleasant and professional.

I have been seeing Dr. Shikha for several years now. She has always been very attentive to me and even gives me practical tips on my weight loss journey. She seems to read up on lots of studies because she is very knowledgeable of medications and myths about certain medications. Just recently I was in her office and I overheard her on her phone fighting an insurance company on behalf of one of her patients. (Don’t worry, no names were said so she didn’t break any confidentiality issues). All that did was make me grateful to have a doctor who would fight for my prescriptions, if I needed it. I love that she has someone that can take labs right in her office so I don’t have to go to yet another place. The waits may be a little long sometimes, but I bet it’s because she is spending time with each patient according to their needs which is based on my experience.

I've been seeing Dr. Bharaktiya for about 2 months now to help with weight loss and pre-diabetes. She is knowledgeable helpful and answers all my questions. Yes I have had to wait 20-30 minutes to see her but I would much rather wait for a great doctor like Dr. Bharaktiya than see a poorly skilled doctor that is available any time. I will continue to see her on my wellness journey.

The staff called to reschedule my appt because of an internal office issue. I was given very little choice and reluctantly accepted an appt in the middle of the day. When I found that it would conflict with my work I attempted to reschedule and was told I could not reschedule and could not cancel without incurring a fee. I took the hit at work and kept the appt only to find myself sitting in the waiting room for an hour. When I finally was called back, Dr Bharaktiya came rushing in and said she was ready to leave for the day and didn't know I was even there. She impatiently rushed through my lab results and gave me condescending sighs when I asked for clarification or questioned her. I'm currently looking for a new dr.

I really enjoyed her explaining not only what happened, but how she is treating me.

After many doctors and feeling better, but not great. Dr. Bharaktiya had me feeling like old me. She kept her appointment time and answered every question. Love her.

Dr. Bharakthiya has been my doctor since 2012. She is the best endocrinologist I have met so far. She is very knowledgeable in her field. She not only listens to my health concerns but also spends time patiently explaining my condition, medications and treatment plan. I came to the US to do graduate school however; I am originally from Bangalore, India. Dr. Bharakthiya who understands my culture and food habits was able to recommend some changes to my existing vegetarian diet and lifestyle to significantly improve my health and lose weight. Dr. Bharakthiya is very insightful and her recommendations with lifestyle and her treatment plan for me have kept my hypothyroidism and diabetes in check. I am very grateful for her early diagnosis of my papillary thyroid cancer. She even came personally to check on me at the hospital when I had my thyroidectomy to make sure I was doing ok. I travel 96 miles to see Dr. Bharakthiya and have never had any problems scheduling to see her. She works… with a great team who is not only courteous but is also very efficient. They have always returned my phone calls in a timely manner when I have left a message. I have never had issues getting my prescriptions refilled. All in all she is a great doctor, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for an endocrinologist. Dr. Bharakthiya has been my doctor since 2012. The DR. Was VERY RUDE !AND the STAFF VERY RUDE!......??!! They never called for a appt-reminder !... the DR." Says to me I don't need a Diebetic DR !..((. and Iam a dietetic !! For 15 ???? yrs"!..... you have to wait in a siting room for ?? -40-min-! (... theory is don't go there ! ) .. they're terrible !!?????????? All are very Rude ! RUDE!!.. I'll never go there AGAIN!!!!!!!??????
