Dr. Shireen Madani Sims, MD

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience. I chose Dr. Madani because of her leadership role, and I had high expectations going into the visit. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed. During the appointment, I didn’t feel that my concerns were fully heard, and I felt a bit rushed through the discussion. At times, the communication came across as dismissive, which made it difficult to feel comfortable asking questions or expressing my concerns. Additionally, the appointment started late without acknowledgment, and overall the interaction felt somewhat distracted. As a patient, I was hoping to feel more engaged and supported during the visit. This was just my personal experience, but I would encourage others to carefully consider their options and ensure they find a provider who aligns with their needs and communication style.

She is quick, impersonal, and awful at explaining conditions. Appointments are too far apart from the day you had a condition that needed attention. Basically or your body heals or you are in trouble. A bunch of nurses talk to you, no explanation, no when am I going to stop bleeding. I am bleeding for 6 days after a yeast infection treatment, which to them is old news and nothing important, but to me is very important and scary. I am anemic and bleeding is not to my benefit. Not knowing when I will stop bleeding, is very scary indeed. I feel she is not very humane.

Dr. Sims performed surgery on me last Friday. I was very nervous, and she was amazing! Her bed side manner was second to none. She wheeled me back to the operating room herself. She made sure that both my husband and I understood the procedure, and what to expect afterwards. She was positive, nurturing, and compassionate. I had no pain afterwards and have been very pleased. Dr. Sims was fabulous from start to finish.

Dr. Sims is a very caring physician. She stays up-to-date on the most modern, least invasive solutions to health care for the whole person. She is thorough and makes sure you are referred to other specialists immediately if you have a health care concern outside of OB/GYN. She also believes in thorough testing for prevention and diagnosis.

This is the worst doctor you will ever encounter! Do NOT SEE HER! Her bedside manner is horrible!

Great doctor. Put me to ease right away. Smiles a lot, shows concern for your problem. Very good bedside manners. Overall, I am really nervous before gynae exam, but I felt very comfortable with her.

I've been seeing Dr Madani-Sims for over 2 years and I've never had a problem with her bedside manners. Recently my pap smear came back abnormal and I had to have a LEEP, Dr Madani explained the procedure to me right before the procedure and the whole time during the procedure she talked to me, checked on me to make sure I was doing ok...she tried to keep me relaxed. She answered all my questions and even questions that my aunt had about the procedure. She is a great doctor and cares about her patients.

absolutely the worst doctor you could imagine. She performed a C-Section on me & left my stomach disfigured. Its going to cost me thousands of dollars to undergo another major surgery to fix this problem. My overall labor & delivery experience under this doctors care was HORRIBLE. My doctor was unable to be at the hospital for the delivery so i was assigned the doctor on call. I highly recommend anyone considering using this doctor to think twice. She will put your unborn child at risk & disfigure your body.

Her accuracy in diagnosing a problem was very poor. Placental abruption was its cause.
