Dr. Shirin Salim Issa, MD

Unprofessional doctor who often spoke with patient with a condescending tone. This doctor gave me a hard time on not memorizing how her office hour work. A few months ago, Google showed that her office opens until 5 p.m. I called in to check on my prescription details (since I was new to any headache clinic), she said that her receptionist is out by 3pm daily and expected me to message her over the clinic portal instead by saying “do me a favor and learn how to use the portal.” I also sent my insurance ID through portal and instead of double checking the emails, she accused me for keep forgetting to send it over. When I commented directly to her that I did not appreciate her tone of voice and the lack of professionalism, instead of a single APOLOGY, she pretty much said to cancel the follow up appointment if I wish. Just because she had incredible ratings on Google review, didn’t mean I have to put up with a doctor who was lack of respect to patients and people skills!!

I have been a migraine sufferer since I was a child. I've been all over the U.S. for treatment with some of the best headache clinics. It wasn't until I treated with Dr. Issa that I finally got my migraines under control. Dr. Issa took time to really understand my case and found treatment that works for me. I was really impressed with how thorough she is. She also goes out of her way to be available for patients outside of normal office hours. How many physicians these days do that? She is terrific!
