Dr. Shirley L. Bennett, MD

Horrible. Doctor Bennett is rude and cold. She will interrupt and cut you off when you are speaking. She ignores your questions as well. This was my first time going to her and will be my last. Do not go to her. I do not believe the five star reviews on here and think Dr. Bennett is writing her own five star reviews because she is a horrible doctor.

Been going to this Dr. for years for routine exams. What I have been disappointed in is that when a real medical conversation is needed, such as an abnormal pap or mammogram or the need to immediately cease a medication, it is not Dr. Bennett who has these conversations, I’ve received calls from the office staff to receive this news and on two very specific instances, I was given negative news by Morgan who is neither equipped to answer my questions nor is she well trained in human relations or delivering that type of news.

This was my first time there and I will never ever go back. She is brutally rough uncaring and never explained how the procedure was going to go no step by step nothing . I totally felt violated by this woman and got no results to my problem just pushed it off to another doctor .

I love seeing Dr Bennett, she has been my doctor since my first pregnancy and still see her regularly for annual exams. She is very straight forward and I like that in a doctor. The office staff is not always the friendliest to deal with but I look past that because I think Dr. Bennett is a great doctor! And... I have no scar after my c-section that she performed!!!!

I used to think favorably of Dr. Bennett until I became pregnant after 18 months of TTC. Dr. Bennett did not remember who I was and I had to tell her the results of my infertility tests. She did not even congratulate me on my pregnancy and went on to point out the high statistics of miscarriage. I ultimately did miscarry and was never once contacted by Dr. Bennett--I spoke only to her nurse. Also, I had to contact the office myself to get all of my blood test results. It felt like the office was run by robots and while I understand that they see things like this every day, I do not. I was treated like a number, not a person, and am now in the process of switching doctors. If the extent of your OB needs is limited to birth control and Pap tests, then you'll be fine. But if it goes anywhere beyond that, do yourself a favor and find another doctor.
