Dr. Shirley Thompson-Richards, MD

I have been with Dr.Shirley for over 20 years and my heart is heavy because I have to change doctors because my insurance. I feel there is no better doctor out there and I would not receive the same services when I go somewhere else. I been looking to find another 5 star doctor and have not came across nobody. I will be back as soon as my insurance change.

Most knowledgeable, experienced, caring and professional doctor I have had in a long time. I am glad I am a patient of hers, wouldn't have it any other way!

I went into the doctors/ER stating that I thought my chest pain had to do with stress and/or anxiety. Doctors sent me through all these tests to rule out nothing major which I appreciate but the prize tag is adding up quickly... current billed amount $2,325.81 and Aetna is giving me a discount but after that discount my out of pocket cost is still $1,274.65. I am outraged due to the fact that I said that I thought it was stress related and yet after finding out that there isn't anything medically wrong with me no doctor has given me suggestions how to cope with my stress/anxiety. It was never addressed. I feel that I was just a body that the medical field is sucking for all that they can...

Both my husband and I were patients have Dr. Richards about 10 years ago. Unfortunately, the health insurance plan I chose was not accepted at her practice. It's really unfortunate, we thought she was GREAT!! Hope you will chose to accept CIGNA soon!!

Dr. Thompson Richards is commended for her ability and diligence to consult and follow-up with her patients. She is compassionate, she diagnoses and prescribes medication only as needed. She has excellent rapport with her patience. I trust everything that she says to me.

I have to say I am not happy with the move to the new office. Office staff is not as professional as prior but I love Dr Richards she is a wonderful physician and is always right on with my care.
