Dr Shivani S. Ruben

I cannot recommend this doctor. I went in for a diagnosis of a skin issue. I was yelled at because of my weight and told to shut up when I asked questions. I was shocked at the rudeness and hostility and lack of professional behavior. When I pointed out Ruben's rudeness, she denied it. I have never been treated as badly as I was by Dr. Ruben, and immediately found another doctor.

I am so thankful to be under Dr. Ruben's care. She is the BEST physician I have had in my 68 years. I cannot say enough good things about her - kind, caring, thorough, respectful. Truly the best.

I’m almost hesitant to write a glowing review because then it will be even harder to get an appointment ha! But I felt compelled, especially after reading the one negative review here, which doesn’t describe my experience with Dr. Ruben in the least. She’s the most personable doctor I’ve ever had, which means a lot. I don’t see her often, but she always remembers me & my history. She’s an excellent listener, very warm & kind, & has a great sense of humor. As another reviewer mentioned, she’s always prepared, punctual & thorough. I drive pretty far across town to see her, but it’s worth it for an awesome doctor.

Very poor at overall primary care. Does not get to know her patient and then tells patient, she is "unethical and presumptuous" after experiencing a year long illness that Dr Ruben is clueless about. Does poor follow up. Advise all who have serious complicated illnesses to look elsewhere for a primary care provider. Dr Ruben does not show any regard for presenting symptoms.

I really appreciate my doctor Shivani Ruben for many reasons: The wait is usually short. Once in the examining room, it is very short. Dr. Ruben is always prepared. She looks me in the eye and answers any questions I might have in easy to understand language. She is patient when I don't understand something. She goes over my lab report and explains everything and points out anything I need to watch. She is thorough and always explains why she is giving me a referral. I am crowding 78, so that happens occasionally. The check-out is very efficient. They always refer me to another doctor who is within my plan. And most of all, I love their portal where I can communicate directly with Dr. Ruben or a nurse prac. if that makes more sense. I am also very comfortable with Dr. Ruben's medical assistant, Amy. I am a completely satisfied patient.
