Dr. Shobha Ravindra Wani, MD

Dr. Wani is condescending and works on the defensive. Her unclear diagnosis, failure to send diagnoses to key medical providers who were managing my care and poor bedside manner made it too uncomfortable for me to trust her. She refused to fill my prescription when I complained about her miscommunication and defensive nature. I asked to see another doctor at Dayton Arthritis and Allergy and was told the policy does not allow patients to see other doctors in the practice. Why would you have a policy like this? Think about it.... So I supposedly have two autoimmune disorders that were not clearly expressed, clearly documented or shared with my other healthcare providers for TWO years, Dr. Wani's assistant hung up the phone with me when I was trying to understand where and when the confusion occured and why they treat people so badly. My experience from scheduling appointments, dealing with Dr. Wani and here assistants have been terrible. It appears to me the culture runs on rude… and defensive. My medical records have a disclaimer about using a bot to take patient notes, which "could result in mistakes." Well, I had several mistakes that a bot didn't make because she had a human scribe at my appointments. My health is of no importance to them. I don't recommend wasting your time or money because it takes months to get an appointment with specialty docs sometimes and if you don't like the doctor there, you don't get your medicine or the opportunity to see another doctor. Complaints are ignored and as I was told, "Your file is copied and ready for you to pick up and then we won't have to deal with this." Then, Dr.Wani's assistant, Danielle, hung up on me. Your patient rights will not be honored at Dayton Arthritis and Allergy.

I received a negative to a health condition and was told to stop taking the medication prescribed for it by Dr. Wani’s office. Now two years later, I find myself back to Wani’s office and she told me it was a false positive?!?!? She was terribly condescending and rolled her eyes at me for not remembering the name of the medication she prescribed two years ago. She treated me like I was stupid for not knowing it was a false positive. No one ever told me!!! In fact she entered the exam room like a questioning attorney. No greeting, just launched into questions about the medication. If you like being treated like a peon, go see doctor Wani.

Dr. Wani has treated my mother (age 96) and myself for over 10 years. She is caring, and I have never felt rushed. Dr. Wani is understanding with my mother and her age, yet she doesn't dismiss my mom's complains or pains as expected with her age. I can recommend her wholeheartedly.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Wani for 12 years. She is caring and truly cares about her patients. She never rushes and spends time with you and answers your questions.
