Dr. Shonith Manohar, MD

Dr. Manohar is very kind and patient, explains the problems in my back, how the nerves and arthritis are causing my pain. He knows exactly what treatments will help, and is very skilled when it comes to administering the injections. His staff are very nice and professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Manohar.

I wanted to get this evaluation out as soon as possible while all is still fresh in my mind. I had an epidural steroid injection procedure from Dr. Manohar this morning and it was nothing to compare to the terrifying experience that some have reported. The procedure was essentially painless. The two small pricks I felt for the surface anesthesia was more pain than I felt during the main procedure itself. The only feeling to report was a pressure like someone pressing on my back with their thumb and nothing else. Dr. Manohar's practice is spartan in appearance and furnishings. The staff is pleasant, cheerful and responsive. Dr. Manohar is a no nonsense type of person who does a detailed examination and I believe he is very well qualified. Personal comfort communication is not his strong suit but you will know, with a full report, exactly what his diagnosis is and what is the best way to proceed to treat your problem. The one and only criticism I have is the endless paperwork at… each visit. I think the nature of his practice brings some people who are high risk patients and the paperwork is to be sure their concerns and his are all well documented.

I was referred to Dr. Manohar by my PCP. He is intelligent and compassionate and takes time with each patient at appointments to truly treat the ‘whole’ patient. He orders the exact tests that are needed, and explains everything very patiently. He has been a valuable part of my whole medical team to help heal my back and get me back to 100%! His staff are wonderful also, helpful and professional.

Had an hour wait to see him he was thorough but did not consider that I told him and he saw his own xrays that my spine was not good. In spite of knowing. I t was a rough very long exam the diagnosis was spot on but I am having more pain now ( due to exam) in spite of increase in medicine. He was also rude when we complained about long wait and exam time total 2 hours!!

Very rude. Completely refused to address or answer my simple question and concerns regarding his insistance on Epidural Steroid Injections. He told me that I should just "trust him" and complete ignored my questions and concerns about the potential risks of injecting an unapproved medication itno my spine. How on earth is trying to coerce me into steroid injections into my spine, refusing to answer my questions, and then insisting that I just "trust him" possibly INFORMED CONSENT. Answer: It's not. DON'T TRUST THIS QUACK!

Today I was in excruciating pain, and have been for years. I found out about Dr. Manohar because my sister is a patient there. I must say, I'm so glad she suggested it! I had my first injection today, I was extremely nervous, but thankfully the staff were very understanding and they made the experience much more relaxing for me. I left today feel so relieved! I can't thank him and the staff enough!!

I just want to say that I went to him for pain from a car accident and he was far more helpful than any doctor I saw. He was so nice and listened to me and really investigated what was going on. His staff is VERY friendly.

Arrived 30 minutes prior to appt time. Given paperwork 10 minutes prior to appt time. Did not see Dr until 90 minutes after appt time. (total time 120 mins.) Dr. not apologetic for being late. Told my caregiver to get back into room after voicing concerns about his lateness. Dr. spent total of 20 mins. with me after being there 2 hrs!!! Had me strip down to undies while waiting. (No reason to strip). Room was COLD. Nurse jammed thermometer in mouth (I had surgery in mouth area). Voiced concerns about doctor's time management, nurse said she has done her job. Overall, rating POOR...
