Dr. Shoshannah Susan Pollack, MD

I was ref. to Dr. Pollack Through a trusted family member. After reading some of her reviews I was not sure what to expect honestly. Dr. Pollack was straight to the point. accurate. precise. and possibly the most honest Dr. I have ever met. what she may lack on the surface in comforting bedside manner she makes up for tenfold with honesty, truth. and above all else compassion. I had a melanoma on my leg that she removed immediately. Without question and without pause, Dr. Pollack saved my life. I hope this review can in some way honor the incredible kindness and caring I received from Dr. Pollack and her Receptionist Rita, for which I am forever grateful. If you are in need of care, and a Dr. that tells the truth, look no further. -CC

This was the worst doctor visit I have ever had! She did not listen to my symptoms and she was condescending and rude. I felt like I was in grade school being scolded for having a rash. She could not even diagnose what conditiom I still prescribed a medicine without knowing for sure exactly what I have (exzema or psoriasis). I think this is a fairly simple request to diagnose a patient if she specializes in skin conditions! At the end of the visit I began to get tears in my eyes because of the way I was being spoken to. Instead of reassuring me, she told me to get out of her office and see another doctor!!!! I was completely shocked!!! I have never been treated so poorly in my life- and by a person who is supposed to help people! Unless you want to be talked down to and waste a copay for receiving no help, avoid this doctor! She should have her license revoked!

Dr. Pollack changed my life. I cannot even begin to express how her care has helped me. I came into her office as a regular teenager, lacking confidence and covered in pimples. I wore a ton of makeup to cover up my blemishes and couldn't look in the mirror without getting upset. After 6 months of seeing Dr. Pollack and using her medications, I am a new person. My skin is 100% clear and I wear almost no makeup now. My confidence is through the roof and I am so happy with the results. I wish I could tell every teenager who is feeling what I use to feel to see Dr. Pollack. She changed me so much and I am so thankful for everything she has done. She is a nice, caring, and extremely intelligent doctor who truly is a miracle worker.

I went in for a check of an itchy red patch on my finger. I asked her about some other suspicious things on my face..etc. I left the office and forgot to ask her if she would renew a prescription (just a simple face wash - 10% benzoyl peroxide)I called and asked if she would renew it (I received it from a different derm. who is no longer on my insurance plan)long story short she would not even give me the courtesy of a call back.. her "secretary" told me she would not renew it - to just go to the store they sell similiar products! The products are not the same percentage and are more expensive over the counter! she would not write me a simple prescription for a face wash that I am currently using!! I would not waste your time with this office.

I've recommended Dr. Pollack to many friends searching for a competent dermatologist in NJ.
