Dr. Shu S. Lin

Dr. Lin is a terrific surgeon, has great bedside manner, and has a wonderful team that works with him!

My first meeting with Dr. Lin saw me experiencing a whirlwind of emotions. He meticulously and patiently mapped out my options so that I was best able to arrive at the most positive solution for my case. His brilliance as a surgeon is well documented, but the most impressive aspect of the man is in how universally loved and respected he is among the hospital's staff. There was a calming, soothing sense of well being that washed over me during our initial meeting that was at once, startling and desperately welcomed. For one so accomplished, he is a refreshingly humble man. His patients are much more than just a bed number to him. He seeks to connect to their humanity, and therein lies the true measure of Dr. Lin. I would posit that it would be nigh impossible to exit an encounter with this man, not only feeling better about your health in particular, but your life in general, as well. I feel that my post surgery success is virtually guaranteed because I do not want to disappoint… Dr. Lin after all of his hard work. One would have more success trying to find a better surgeon (good luck with that!) than trying to find an even better human being. I consider myself twice blessed.

I was getting out of breath after minor exertion, my doctors discovered a bad aortic valve and the need for 2 grafts which they were able to get to right away. Discharged yesterday, and full of new hope.

He is a great doctor.

Dr. Lin was wonderful! He is busy but has good bedside manners. He operated on my father, who did really well from the surgery. He is meticulous and does not rush through things and explains everything in detail. He is a very skilled surgeon, and his results seem to be excellent. The scar on my fathers chest is almost invisible!
