Dr. Shubhra Saksena, MD

Dr. Saksena is an incredible physician and she's the only GP Dr that I will have all of the years that I'll be living here in VA. I've been a patient of hers since 2004. One of the early things that truly impressed me (in 2006) was her ability to correctly diagnose an illness that is not seen very often. Viral meningitis is NOT something that is "fun" - it's quite painful and is not at all something that is seen and diagnosed very often. But Dr Saksena diagnosed it correctly and I am extremely glad she did!! Her care and concerns for her patients are great and her skills and professionalism are exceptional too.

Overall the experience was excellent. From the front desk (Ingrid) to the nurse (Shayna (sp)) and on to the examination room it was a very pleasant experience. The bedside manner of Dr. Saksena is exceptional.

I was impressed with Dr. Saksena on my first visit. She is patient, understanding, and informative. I never feel rushed and she answers all my questions. Honest and straightforward, I feel she is one of the best doctors I have ever seen.

I scheduled a physical without knowing anything about Dr Saksena at Heritage Family Practice in Fairfax. I was pleasantly surprised by her. She took her time, listened, and answered my questions. I was worried that there would be a language problem, but she doesn't have an Indian accent (sorry if not PC, but it is important to be able to understand what my doctor is saying). She will become my new primary physician. Her nurse, Jeanine, was excellent too.
