He has done his Neurology Residency at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and his Internal Medicine Internship at Yale/Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT …and obtained his Medical degree at Iran University of Medical Sciences in Thran, Iran. He is currently academically affiliated with University of Colorado as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology, University of Colorado. His prior work experience consists of being an Assistant Professor and Director of Multiple Sclerosis Division at Drexel University in Philadelphia PA and prior to that he was the Co-director of MS Center for Caring at Crozer Keystone Health System at Chester, PA.

I was given my MS diagnosis last year. Naturally, this was a death sentence (ridiculous to assume such, others are going through far worse). Dr. Esfandi does a great job explaining things (part of understanding is asking for clarification - speak up) and was great at answering my questions. He is also very friendly and sympathetic. At the time, my world was falling apart, Dr. Esfandi took time to explain my medication options, the success rates of each and how they work with my body. I still feel sorry for myself, which I think is normal, but I feel relieved knowing I have a concerned, competent, medical professional on my side.

I saw Dr. Esfandi when he was a Fellow UC Health. Dr. Esfandi listened well to concerns I or my husband had, explained things well, and always included me in decisions about my course of treatment after educating me about my options. Yes, he left the room to consult on my case because he was a Fellow and UC Health is a teaching hospital. I always appreciated the time he took and miss him at the Rocky Mountain MS clinic.

He was cold and didn't listen to me. He repeatedly left the room to consult with another doctor - doesn't HE know what he is doing? As it turns out, he has some specific specialty which was not relevant to my visit (an auto accident), and all he could tell me was that I didn't have the disease he specializes in - waste of my time and VERY POOR OVERALL EXPERIENCE from him AND the entire staff.
