I am a physician and was in an emotionally abusive marriage for many decades. I sought Dr. Sid's help after seeing two other therapists who were not able to recognize the potential danger of my husband's escalating pathology. Dr. Sid not only identified the problem, but helped me see the truth, and supported me and my children as we extricated ourselves from a very dysfunctional family. I am so grateful for Dr. Sid, his knowledge, and his compassion.

You saved my life more than once

I went to Dr. Horowitz for years and felt stagnant much of the time. Not sure why I stuck with him so long because I never felt all that comfortable with him either. My conditions are difficult to treat with meds and therapy but after leaving Dr. Horowitz for another therapist who also hooked me up with a psychiatrist for meds I am feeling much better and actually understand my conditions which I was clueless about under his care. He also broke confidentiality guidelines several times by very openly and loudly acknowledging me in a very public place. This was quite embarrassing to me and actually outraged me. Now that I'm not his patient he barely acknowledges me when I initiate the hello. It's as if he holds it against me I stopped being his patient. I would not recommend Dr. Horowitz to anyone. Difficult to make appointments as answering machine always answers and no one returns your call!
