I took my husband to the ER, and Dr. Steckel had the worst attitude I have ever experienced from a physician. I feel that in this profession, individuals should be caring and considerate. They should treat each patient the way they would like for someone to treat them or someone they love. Dr. Steckel gave off the vibe that she wanted to be anywhere other than at WORK. She made it seem like she was a know-it-all without running any tests, and we were beneath her. I hope and pray her demeanor gets better. This was the worst experience we have ever had. If she is ever treated this way, maybe she will realize how awful she really is. The saddest part is that my husband was not properly treated, and we had to return three days later. The second visit was much, much better. Dr. Vincent Jones was very professional, caring, and took time to explain everything. He showed us what a true physician should aspire to be like. We appreciate him more than he knows. Dr. Steckel could learn a LOT from… Dr. Jones!

I hope never to cross paths with you again. You are singularly the reason I will not go to SGMC in an emergency. As far as your previous rating, maybe one of us just caught you on an off day. I hope for the sake of others it was I.
