Sikha Guha, MD

Sikha Guha, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor, Rehabilitation Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus centers on academic teaching and patient care with musculoskeletal problems, general physiatry and neuromuscular disorders, including electrodiagnosis. She is the coordinator of the bimonthly electrodiagnosis conference for residents and attendings within the Rehab Department.Dr. Guha earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Christian Medical College in Punjab, India, in 1975. She completed a rotating internship at Brown Memorial Hospital in Punjab, India, in 1976 and her physical medicine & rehabilitation residency in 1981 at Montefiore Medical Center. She was the Chief Resident in her final year.Building on her clinical focus, Dr. Guha’s research focuses on electromyography (EMG), neuromuscular disorders and vascular disorders. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and she has given national poster …presentations.Dr. Guha is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Board of Neuromuscular Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the New York Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Guha won the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Best Teacher Award from Montefiore in 2003 and 2005.
