Dr. Simeon Prager, MD

On August 29, I saw Dr. Prager as an Internist. At the age of 69, I thought it prudent to be cared for by a specialist in adult medicine. To put it mildly, I left his office feeling dismayed--even stunned. This was a "first visit," my patient history showed both my parents had died of a heart attack, yet on this first visit he didn't even listen to my heart and lungs, nor conduct any kind of general body exam. Moreover, his demeanor and behavior were aggressive, arrogant, even verbally combative. He scolded, blustered, and tried to argue with me when I didn't have anything to argue about. It seemed he was scarcely interested in giving medical care...much less bothering to extend a caring attitude. I left feeling I had been treated like an adversary, not as a patient. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt trod upon emotionally. After an experience this tumultuous and unsavory, I could never feel confidence in him as a doctor, nor trust him as a person.

World class ability and caring attitude.

The first time I went to Dr. Prager I told him everything that was going on and he told me to go to a psychiatrist, get on medicine for my bipolar, and come back. 3 months later, I am back with the same symptoms only everything is stronger. He shakes his head, says he doesn't know what's wrong with me, apologizes, and I'm out the door. Not even a recommendation on what to do. Not only that but he has no care for peoples feelings and the first time I was there he made me so mad my eyes got watery. If you are looking for a compassionate doctor he is not the one. The good news is that he thoroughly does a full exam (blood tests, MRI) but i don't think he's much help if everything looks good there. Will not be returning and would not recommend.

Dr. Prager saved my life 16 years ago, he's the best.

I have been going to Dr. Prager for almost 10 years. He is compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough. I do have to wait a bit on many of my visits, but he spends the time necessary with you to really listen to what is going on.

This Doctor was contacted because my past physican was going to leave his practice. I asked to set up a 10 minute consultation to see if I wanted to switch to this practice. After an initial meeting where the doctor and I discussed my needs we decided to switch my records. The doctor did nothing and 30 days later I received a bill for $54.00 for this service. I will NOT be going back and would recommend that no one else go either. His bedside manner is awful and he apparently is more interested in his billing than his patients.

Staff is somewhat unprofessional, answer the phone when they feel like it, even during hours. There is no way you can leave ANY message, kinda suspect

TO be or not to be, that is the question. My answers follow : Dr. Pragger is one of the best if not the best internist I've ever had. He took me head on by the horns and knows what he's doing. He has a rare thing that a lot of Doctors don't have and that's a smile and a deep compassion to really help his patients. Being committed to his practice and maintaining constant care is also a rarity in these days and times and I'm happy I took a chance with him instead of staying with my last Doctor. And being a regular MD he most likely is still paying school loans off and after that paying rent and staff. So he's what I call a broke Doctor who doesn't see a lot of money. That in its self to me counts towards this rating, people don't realize what it really takes. Thanks Dr. P !!!!!!

Finds a way to help you without making you feel bad. He has much better people skills than most doctors. He's helped me get my blood sugars under control and lower my blood pressure. He's straight forward, teaches you what to do without preaching. He makes dangers real without being scary. He spends as much time as I need answering questions.

When my husband broke his foot, Dr. Prager remained extremely involved in his care before and after foot surgery. Dr. Prager independently watched my husband's progress and helped the surgeon detect nerve damage my husband suffered during the surgery - a potential complication - because he knew my husband's demeanor and realized quickly that he was in more pain than he should be after the surgery. This experience is typical of our experiences with Dr. Prager - he knows who we are, listens to what we have to say, and provides accurate information to us.
