Dr. Simon Olstein, MD

This Dr takes the time to listen to you, really really listen. This is the first Dr to achieve taking me off narcotics and still making sure my pain is number one.

Dr. Olstein is someone that takes his time with you and listens. This is pretty uncommon these days. Besides that, he is a walking library of great useful information and advice. By far the best doctor I have had the pleasure of going to.

Dr. Olstein is awesome! By far the best addiction Doctor I have seen. He spent an hour with me and we went through everything! The Counselor was amazing too, she really took the time to get to know the real me. They came up with a treatment plan for me that is perfect for my needs and health. He takes Insurance so I don't know why people are saying "he's all about the money". I only paid my copay, nothing more. He is caring and easy to talk to. I know I have finally found my Doctor. If you had a bad experience with him, then you didn't follow the rules of his treatment. Which is not his fault. He does give every patient a set of guidelines to follow and if you don't follow them, you will pay the consequences. If he treated you like an addict, it's because you are one. We all are if we are seeing him. Just be responsible for your own actions and he will take care of you.

Best Suboxone doctor I have ever seen for pain management and psychiatry. Very caring and listens to your problems to make an accurate diagnosis and discusses a treatment plan with me. I have had no problems bringing up concerns and have always been happy with the medications prescribed.

I am writing this review today because personally I was shocked to have read that people have said STI is all about the money,,,There not!!!! Dr Olstein is one of the most amazing people I have ever known,, I have been drug free for over 2 years now because of STI and Dr Olstein , Not to mention Sara, She made this program very affordable to me, And I have zero insurance, The fact is I have not done drugs since the first day I went to STI, The doctors and staff are compassionate,caring and non judgmental . I have in fact referred two friends to Dr Olstein and to this day they are drug free and doing fantastic in life. Bottom line, There treatment works. I commend these amazing individuals for there affordable and most importantly there successful Programs they have to offer =-)

I have been seeing doctor olstein for almost two years now approx. and at first I was a little skeptical because I was discharged for what I thought was an unfair reason, I then realized that this place basically had saved my life and that I needed to figure out a way to see him again. So I was able to get back in after writing a letter, and even though I was discharged, I understood why, from the doctors point of view. And I can say that this doctor has met and exceeded my needs during treatment. As an Ex-addict, my needs haven't been the most convenient and at first it was a bit of a bumpy road for me, but Dr. Olstein continued to have trust in me and I seriously can't say enough positive things about him. I RECOMMEND DR OLSTEIN TO ANYONE WHO IS TRYING TO GET SOBER OFF DRUGS OR ALCAHOL he will make it easier than you ever thought it could be!

Dr. Olstein was very nice up thru my induction. Afterwards, he was very condascending, accusatory and mistrusting. Very rude, stating that b/c I took the medication as he stated, I was thinking like "an addict." Would only give one week scripts for medication to ensure weekly visits (primarily for the money) and when I asked if he could give at least 2 week scripts, he rudely said "how much were you paying on the streets for your..." His tone and demeanor completely changed after first few visits. Also, he said my BF could be present during the induction, then removed that option and said that would not be okay on the am of the induction. Also, asked during my 3rd week of tx, for me to bring the unused films so he could count them? Like I am seeking tx to misuse or sell these? Come on, why would I go through all the determination and pain of fighting addiction and pain if I had some sinister motivation? I have never been treated like a criminal by any doctor and I felt really… uncomfortable by the implied accusations this doctor directed towards me. I would not recommend him at all. The licensed therapists were wonderful at this facility however. Nothing but the best comments for them, very caring, encouraging, knowledgable group of therapists. Karen and John, specifically were very nice, and gave me a lot of encouragement and hope. Many thanks to them.

I have been a patient of Dr. Olstein for over one year, and I have found him to be an excellent addictionologist. He is very well-informed and caring. Dr. Olstein shows an ability to understand his patients, and human nature in general, quite well. Despite his knowledge and intelligence, he is never condescending. The doctor treats addiction as the very serious matter it is, yet manages to display a welcome sense of humor. I would highly recommend Dr. Olstein to anyone seeking help with addiction.

This Doctor will say anything to get your money, and once he has it, your screwed. At this Doctors office, all was great going until you agree to treatment. I am a parent of one of his patients, everything was going great, until my son went to his counceling group where other addicts meet.Each addict is a different stages, so the temptation is great. When he relapsed, Dr.Olstien, refused to see him and would not answer the phone. I, as a father I called and was treated the same way, so I went down and was told he would not see or discuss due to client and patient agreement. I paid for the treatment, Thousands of dollars to him, and he could not talk to me? I have found out that this doctor does this all the time. Its a money thing. They set the patient up to fail, so they can keep your money. SHAME ON YOU DR.OLSTIEN
