Dr. Albear is incredibly knowledgeable and personable. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and ensured I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. I never felt pressured; instead, he clearly outlined all available treatment options. After shopping for a cataract surgeon and meeting several doctors who felt more like salespeople, Dr. albear stood out for his honesty. Given my history of multiple retinal issues and past surgeries, other doctors were hesitant to perform my procedure. However, Dr. albear was very capable and successfully completed both of my cataract surgeries without any issues. I highly recommend him.

Very informed, will walk you through different possibilities, tests, procedures, and the risks of each. I was confident in the decisions we made together for my eye health. I had been to several doctors for eye pain, and all of them kept telling me it was dry eye. My cousin sees Dr. Albear and recommended him. He examined my eyes and immediately said they were not dry. He then did a thorough exam and used a technique to flush my eyelids, which allowed him to identify the problem almost instantly—something multiple visits with multiple doctors had failed to do. He diagnosed inflammation of the tear ducts, started me on a couple of medications, and within two days, the pain I had been dealing with for nearly two years was completely gone.

Dr. Albear is amazing! I had neglected my health for years and only went to see him after an optometrist who was checking me for glasses recommended him. I went in thinking it was just for cataracts, but he gave me an incredibly thorough eye exam and discovered I also had glaucoma. What really stood out, though, was that he didn’t just focus on my eyes. He noticed I had a bit of wheezing and that one of my legs was swollen. Despite being busy, he took the time to personally call another doctor and got me in to see a primary care physician the same day. That doctor ended up finding a heart issue, and I’ve been on treatment since then. Even though I originally went in for an eye problem, Dr. Albear helped me take care of my overall health — and I feel so much better now. I’ve since had cataract surgery with a glaucoma procedure, and my vision is clear. Truly a remarkable doctor and person!

I was a patient of Dr Albear for a year. He is a very good and caring Doctor. During one of my visits he saw a growth on my eye. He scheduled me for surgery and it was cancerous. He removed it and I have been cancer free. thanks to his quick actions I did not loose my eye and the cancer did not spread. When you find a gem you keep it but I am sad that he left California.

went here after an injury from my cat :'( . they were able to take me in right away and helped me with the severe pain I experienced. Dr. Albear was very nice and kind. I saw him one more time after the initial injury and everything was fine.

Dr. Albear is such a sweetheart he cares about you. He takes his time with you he listens to your concerns. I had a lot of issues with dry eye and it really affect my ability to function especially I spend a lot of my working hours in front of a computer. I saw many optometrists and opthalmologists but they just gave me drops and did not help. He asked me many questions when I initially saw him and was able to figure out the reason why my dry eyes were so bad. He recommended some changes to my routine ( AND NOT JUST DROPS) and now I have been feeling much better.

Dr. Albear is a lifesaver and exceptionally skilled. Having been a boxer for over 20 years, I suffered multiple traumas to my face and eyes, resulting in a severe cataract that completely obstructed my vision. I became reliant on my wife to help me walk. After consulting several ophthalmologists, all of whom deemed my cataract too complex and challenging to operate on, I was left feeling hopeless. However, my medical doctor referred me to Dr. Albear, for which I am profoundly grateful. Despite acknowledging the complexity of my cataract, Dr. Albear was confident in his ability to perform the surgery. Understanding the urgency of my condition, he scheduled me for surgery within a couple of weeks. The results were nothing short of miraculous—I regained my vision immediately after the procedure and within a week I was seeing 2020 my second visit after surgery. Dr. Albear’s talent and skill are truly remarkable. Without his expertise, I wouldn’t be able to write this review today.

Thrilled to have finally found this amazing doctor. I had been following with different optometrists for many years before eventually finding Dr Albear to discuss cataract surgery. He was very thorough and immediately put my mind at ease. Having cataract surgery with Dr Albear has given me my life back and I cant thank him enough. Additionally, he was the first doctor to pick up on my early glaucoma. It must have been missed on my previous eye exams!
