Unprofessional and Frustrating Billing Practices. I visited this office for a routine medication refill and was yelled at and told I could not see the doctor unless I paid in cash, even though there was no balance due on my account. It was clear that my care was not the priority, only how they were going to get paid. They refused to see me because I planned to use my FSA card to pay my co-pay. On a separate occasion, I learned that this office does not send billing statements and instead applied a $60 late fee after 30 days without any prior bill or notification. I have also experienced overcharging on follow-up visits. Overall, the staff interactions felt unprofessional and added stress rather than support. Based on my experiences, there are much better offices available.

Terrible with record keeping and using EPIC system if you are a Henry Ford patient.

I have been seeing dr Kaura for years and years. He is very intelligent. Cares about his patients and is very honest.

great doctor

This doctor is not only the most intelligent doctor I have encountered, when you are a patient, he will remember EVERYTHING about you, plus I can call him (day, night, morning he answers his phone) and he will say your mom or dad's blood work showed this or that -- without having the chart in front of him. My whole family goes to him -- and as far as I am concerned he has extended my dad and mom's lives because of his knowledge. Yes there are issues with his wife, but I can oversee this because he is a tremendous doctor --- I RECOMMEND everyone to him! He is the best!

This Dr. is horrible...they do not make appointments and when you show up they send you away and tell you to come back. I was told they open at 9am after a severe knee injury, so I showed up at 9am, no one was in the building, so I proceeded to fill out the paperwork that was at the front desk and waited for 20 minutes. I finally called the phone and his wife answers from the back and was very rude telling me she was taking care of a patient and could not come up front (Odd being I was the only one in the parking lot and never seen anyone enter the building). She told me to come back at 10 which I did and still had to wait until 11 to see someone, Dr. Kaura did not even examine me told me I had to get an MRI of my knee. I had to make the appointment and he wanted me to get my health records from my previous Dr and bring them to him! I made the appointment and called my health care provider which they told me that Dr Kaura only had to make a phone call to send the approval. One day… before my appointment the hospital calls and claims he never sent the referral and they had to cancel!... I contacted the office only for him to tell me it could take weeks, that he feels I may not need one etc etc. Place is HORRIBLE...DIRTY...RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I have never EVER in all my life dealt with such a place. I switched my Dr for the next month and refuse to go back to him no matter how sick I am for the remainder two weeks I am still listed under his care.

As the previous reviewer stated Dr. Kaura's office will bill over and over and over even though you have paid the copayment and had BCBS call them. The billing is run by his wife at least that's what he told me and she was extremely rude and belligerent not only to me but my BCBS rep who was trying to explain the payments made to them. She wouldn't listen and almost cried on the phone. BCBS said they almost couldn't deal with her. It sounds like for years they have gotten away with over billing but it has to stop. For the service you get, the long waits and less than clean environment I will never go there again.

Dr. Kaura is a very caring man. He doesn't schedule appointments, you just go in when you need to. He is also open 7 days a week. He is also very smart. I was telling him about how I had taken my kids to the doctor several times for asthma/allergies and even to a specialist but still they weren't getting any better. He listened to them both, diagnosed them, and treated them successfully! Another time we were in the office with my daughter. As my husband was just talking to the doctor, the doctor said, "Let me listen to you." After listening to my husbands lungs, he said, "Your daughter is fine, I think you have anmonia." He gave him an extra and sure enough, he did.Very knowledgeable.

This office double bills, save your reciepts. We have been seeing him for years and will NOT be back due to the unprofessional billing department.
