Dr. Smita Bhalchandra Parulkar, MD

So rude! Constantly talking over me on our first appointment. Blaming me for staffing issues. Wants one word answers to everything. I’m afraid her arrogance is going to miss important details for diagnosing and treating properly.

I have been a patient of hers for about 10 years. She has always been friendly, caring and thoughtful. She is a very good listener, and follows up on all my concerns (and my wife's). I attribute my good health to her, since before she took over my care, I had some cardiac issues. She quickly reviewed and modified my medications, and since then I've been very healthy. I've always been impressed with her professionalism, and her willingness to discuss how she determines treatments.

Either the previous reviewer must be talking about a different physician, or is a total liar and unqualified to speak. I have had Dr. Parulkar as a physician for the past 15 years, and can safely say she is one of the best physicians I have ever had. Dr. P is not only knowledgeable, but has a warmth and kindness about her that is hard to find among physicians this day and age. My husband and I both love her, and consider her more like a trusted friend and advisor than a PCP. She has my highest recommendation.

My overall last experience with Dr. Parulkar has caused me to look for another PCP. Her bedside manners are terrible. She is completely insentitive when dealing with sensitive subjects. Her hours are not the best for working people who work 9-5. I've always felt that Dr. Parulkar does the bare minimal to get through the appt but she is not someone that makes you feel comfortable to ask questions or discuss concerns with unless she brings it up to you herself.
